For the past 2 years, we’ve had some amazing Giving Tuesday fundraisers! You’ve helped us renovate our Bat Zone, buy a new Batmobile, and save the lives of 70+ short-tailed bats.
In short, we have you to thank for all the amazing work we’ve been able to do. Without you, none of this would be possible.
That’s why, for this year’s Giving Tuesday, we’re planning a campaign bigger than ever before. We’re kicking off the launch of our new digital live animal programming with partner Field Trip Zoom! Welcome to DIGIBATS!! Our goal:
To raise $50,000 to deliver FREE digital programming to schools across the nation!
By meeting our goal, we’ll be able to lock in 300 free digital programs to schools across the country! Distance need not apply–it doesn’t matter if you live in California, Michigan, New York, Canada or beyond, all you need is a computer, a webcam, and an internet connection to bring the magic of live bats to your classroom, nature center, or museum! Further, once a class is booked for a program, our partner, Field Trip Zoom, will train you on everything you need to do to get set up. Afterwards, we’ll do the rest and you get to sit back and have some of the cutest faces around on your class’s computer screen!
Year after year, we’ve seen the power of our Animal Ambassadors to dispel myths and transform fear into love.
Without a doubt, what sets us apart in changing hearts and minds is our wonderful friends and companions. The more live programs we complete at schools and libraries, the more perceptions we can change about these misunderstood and amazing animals.
However, distance provided us with one of the biggest barriers to reaching more minds across our country. Because the care of the animals is our greatest concern, we are simply limited in how far we can take them without impacting their safety and well-being. Beginning on November 28th, this year’s #GivingTuesday campaign, DigiBats, gives our organization the perfect solution to an old problem!
Stay tuned, because as Giving Tuesday gets closer we’re going to have more details on how you can help. Not to spill too much, but you’ll also have a way to nominate YOUR school or nature center for a free program!
Have a child who is into bats? Or maybe a brother, sister, or other loved one who would love to have bats in their classroom for a day? Well we’ll have you covered! We want to make sure that your donation can go to inspire your loved ones, as well as countless others throughout the nation. Get ready, because on November 28th, DigiBats is coming!!
